Lisa botalico
Lisa Botalico, Assistant Director/Principal Dancer/Choreographer Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre, was featured dancer in NJN’s Emmy Award winning program Images/Imagenes, The Spanish Guitar; toured the US for the National Theater of the Performing Arts; nominated for Best Choreographer Perry Award by the NJ Association of Community Theaters for the NE USA premier of Zorro, the Gypsy Kings’ musical (Kelsey Theater). Choreography collaborations include: Boheme Opera Company’s Carmen (2024); Roxey Ballet’s Carmen Ballet; JerseyMoves (NJPAC). Lisa’s photo appeared in the exhibition 100 Years of Flamenco in NYC at the NY Public Library for the Performing Arts Lincoln Center. She has performed with Flamenco greats, including Jose Molina, Maria Alba, Victorio Korjhan, Manolo Rivera, Carmen Salao. Her performances in NYC include Symphony Space, Town Hall and Cami Hall. In 2024, The Arts Council of Princeton named their dance studio for Lisa in honor of her 25th Anniversary as founder/instructor of their popular Flamenco Dance Program.
